The design phase for the new De Marke sports hall began in 2023.

The municipality of Deventer, acting as the client, set an ambitious sustainability target of energy neutrality, alongside achieving a BREEAM Excellent certification.
Through close collaboration between the municipality and the project’s advisors, this ambition was successfully realized.
As a result, De Marke sports hall in Deventer has become the first sports hall in the Netherlands to be awarded a BREEAM-NL Excellent certification.
